Sovereign Spanish Magistral Order of the Knights Templar
Order of Zion
The order of Zion was a medieval military and religious order founded in Jerusalem by Godfrey of Bouillon during the First Crusade. According to a 12th-century papal bull, it had abbeys on Mount Zion, Mount Carmel, in southern Italy (Calabria) and in France. This order occupied his abbey Mother Notre Dame du Sion, built on the foundations of the apostolic cenacle or coelaneum until about 1291, the year in which he fell into the possession of the Muslims.
He would be in charge of protecting Mount Zion, in addition to being a secular arm of the Catholic Church. In Jerusalem, the abbey was located on Mount Zion, where it had been built on the ruins of an ancient Byzantine church. The abbey remained for about 200 years, one of many small groups built during the Crusades.
At the beginning of the 13th century, the abbey was destroyed, during a race of Muslim troops, after which the monks fled to Sicily. In 1617, the monks who still formed the order joined the Jesuits.
Historically, there was something like the so-called "Priorate of Zion", since in 1099, the Crusaders of Western Europe, after conquering Jerusalem from Muslim power, built a new church on the ruins of an ancient Byzantine temple called Hagia Sion.
The new church was called St. Mary, and the group of priests who attended it were known as The Priory of Our Lady of Zion, a title that combined the names of both churches. MtZion from Abu Tor Monte Sion, a view from Abu Tor. There they remained until 1217, when the Muslims destroyed St. Mary after reconquering Jerusalem. At that time, they withdrew to Sicily, where they continued to exercise their ministry.
The Priory survived for four more centuries, until, in 1617, its last members joined the Jesuits. In short, the Priory of Zion was one of many orders and societies that have come and went throughout the history of the Catholic Church. There was a real Priory of Zion founded in 1099, but it has nothing to do with the current Priory of Zion, which is nothing more than a fictional product, such as the character of Plantard, which appears in several works.
Among the misprints of the work we can find some bastard images such as the idea of "grand masters" that could not exist in the original Priory, as shown in the large number of books and articles on this subject, for the simple reason that the head of an priory is a prior and not a great teacher. IVANOV YAV HRISTA MARI1 Aspect of Jesus Christ to Mary Magdalene.
The Priory of Zion, as it is known thanks above all to the novel by Dan Brown and other authors of the style of Lynn Picknett, Clive Prince and some others who have written something about topics like this, has been described as one of the great historical fictions of the twentieth century.
Some skeptics have expressed concern about the proliferation and popularity of books, websites and films inspired by this deception that have contributed to the problem of conspiracy theories, pseudo-stories and other increasingly common confusions. Others have expressed concern about the romantic reactionary ideology promoted by these works.
THE PRIORY OF ZION:
The centenary secret society whose invisible existence addresses the whole argument of The Da Vinci Code. The murdered Jacques Saunine, grandfather of Sophie Neveu, who posts lens is revealed as Grand Master of the Priory of Zion, is the catalyst that triggers the search for Sophie and Robert to discover the location of the great secret of the Priory before it falls into the hands of the archivist of the Priory, Opus Dei. According to the “official” story of the Priory of Zion contained in his archives, the Dossiers Secrets, the Order of Zion founded in 1090 in the Holy Land by Godfrey of Bouillon, who took Jerusalem in 1099.
After surrendering this city to the Crusaders, Godfrey ordered the construction of the Abbey of Lady of Mount Zion, which was built on the ruins of the ancient Byzantine church located outside the Lilacs of Jerusalem, south of the Gate of Zion.
This abbey housed an order of Augustinian canons who served as advisors to Godfrey and who, as the documents of the Priory tell, secretly engaged in the creation of the Knights Templar in 1118, to serve at the order of Zion in the military and as an administrative arm in tenor. In 1152 a small contingent from the Aba day of Our Lady of Mount Zion accompanied the French king Louis VII back to France after the Second Crusade he settled in Saint-Samson, in the city of Orieans.
- A select section of this group was housed in the “little priory of Mount Zion” in the vicinity of Saint-Jean Lanc, just outside of Orleans. According to the docu mentos of the priory, this was the beginning of the secret order that began to be known as Priory of Zion. The Knights Templar and Priory of Zion performed together until a controversy of order )r resulted in an official split between the two orders in Guisors, Normandy, in 1188, known as the "Log Logging."
- The Secret Dossiers claim that, after relations between the two Orders were cut, the Knights Templar continued to act publicly, gaining importance with their own independent Grand Masters until their final dissolution in 1307. However, it is said that the Priory of Zion had passed to the destiny clan already at that time, adopting the alternative name native to the Order of the Rose-Cross Sales, also called Ormus, of the French word "orme", meaning "elm". Indirectly, this was the origin of the esoteric movement that would later emerge in the history of Europe with the name of Rosicrucism.
- The Grand Masters of the clandestine Priory of Zion have traditionally been known as “Nautonniers” or “Navigantes.” The first official Navigator of the Priory of Zion was Jean de Guisors, who was present in the Talea of the Olm of Guisors and who served from 1188 until his death in 1220, under the title of John II. The early Navigators of the Priory of Zion seem to have conveyed their leadership through a familiar Costangue line, but later this position was filled by some of the most influential artists, scientists and creative minds in the history of Europe as revealed in the list dated 1956 contained in the Dossiers Secrets and copied to its full extent under the entry of this book entitled Grand Masters of the Priory of Zion.
- Many distinguished people held this position, including Leonard do da Vinci, Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo and Jean Cocteau, who is believed to have held it from 1918 to 1963. It is unclear exactly who became the Navigator of the Priory of Zion on the death of Jean Cocteau in 1963, but the title eventually fell to Pierre Plantard, who served as the society’s main public liaison until his resignation in 1984.
- During his time as a Navigator, Plantard was the main source of information on which the internal bestseller The Sacred Riddle was based, which, in 1983, revived the attention of the whole English-speaking world on the history of the Priory of Zion. To prepare this book, co-authors Michael Baigent, hard Leigh and Heniy Lincoln spent years tracking and analyzing the genealogies, secret codes and history of the secret society that was inoculated to them through the strategy of revelation of arcane documents and face-to-face interviews, it led to a persecution through the last thousand years of European history and political intrigue. Ultimately, the trio has never come to discover
The restoration of the Merovingian monarchy on the throne of France was placed high above Plantard’s list of priorities, but so was the realization of economic and political United States of Europe, which has become largely a reality with the arrival of the European Union and with the implementation of the euro instead of local currencies. Therefore, in the absence of any conclusive statement, Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln developed for themselves the revolutionary theory that the Merovingian bloodline could represent the vestiges of a pro-revenge lineage of the offspring of Jesus and Mary Magdalene who, it is believed, took refuge in France after the Crucifixion) and that the purpose of the Priory of Zion was, in fact, to safeguard this sacred lineage.
Despite the fact that Pierre Plantard himself never confirmed or really denied this theory, dozens of books have been produced during the twenty years that explore the possibility that the line in Jesus and Mary Magdalene has had continuity within the blood ties of the European aristocratic families. After Plantard's resignation as Navigator in 1984, the Priory of Zion again plunged into hiding, despite persistent rumors that he continued to go ahead under the multitude of costumes.
These rumors have generated, in his numerous fictional chivalry orders, some of them claim to be the “authentic” Priory of Zion.
On 27 December 2002, a statement on PdS letterhead paper was released announcing to the public the relaunch of the company, signed by Pierre Plantard’s anti-guo private secretary, Gino Sandri, under the title of Secretary-General, and by a mysterious anonymous woman as Navigator. However, many experts contemplate this relaunch as an advertising maneuver.
In this way, the existence of the Priory of Zion remains an elusive mystery, even today.
